Sorry for the late post. I was at St Joseph and i was too tired to post when i come back. I lost to Adam Lau as i expected. However, it was closer then i expected. I expected it to be 21-10 21-10 but it ended up 21-17 21-12. I was quite happy with my performance especially the one which i jumped twice and still got to win the ball.
The disappointing part was in the second set. I was having the lead and got nervous and lost many points in the row. I was leading 11-10 and at that score, i tap the ball but the ball didnt go through. Since that ball, i played safe by trying to lob to the corners and not to smash that often. That brought the game to an end by him winning it 21-12. The happy part is in the first set. I was losing 20-13 and i chased with all hopes to be same like Lee Chong Wei and chased to 20-17 but made a mistake when the shuttle hit the tip of the net and Adam won the first set 21-17.
The coolest thing that happened yesterday was when Charles played with nikram.Charles dropped from the back then nikram net then Charles tapped the ball and hit the middle of nikram's specs and it broke into half. Half of it dropped on the floor and one side was still on his face. He walked to his bag and he was lucky to have brought a spare specs. However, he missed the first 2 or 3 balls after changing the specs. Because of that, Charles won the first set. nikram went all out to win the second set and Charles was tired so he just let nikram win. But he tried tapping nikram's specs again when he had the chance but nikram tried to avoid it and kept turning away from the net when he got tapped. In the end nikram won the second set. However, Charles played will full spirit again and won the last set without much trouble after he got used to the speed of nikram's smash. Charles won nikram 21-7 i tink.. in the third set. nikram gave up hope when it reached 18-7. He just purposely missed the service which Charles gave him. The coolest thing is... i never knew that nikram can lose 4 points or more just because of Charles' service! Cool! Today's match will be Charles VS Luqman. I cant wait to watch it! BYE!
